My Favorite Promo Emails – July 2018
Much earlier in the month this time! I hope you enjoy the assortment of emails I gathered this month.
At the 6th month mark, I think I am going to do two separate posts, one for the typical monthly emails and one for the random emails that I saved but didn’t make the final cut. They are interesting but do not have the same WOW that other promotional emails have given me.
Lulu
Lulu is a print on demand online book publisher. Over the last few months, I have been trying to figure out how to include them as a feature in this blog series. Their emails are very clean and simple, using an Image, Text, Button, Repeat format. Their illustration style really stands out to me and while I initially thought they were custom pieces, when I gathered them together there was a lot more variation than I thought their might be.
Jcrew
With Jcrew I wanted to show how their 4th of July sale took the same theme and expanded it out into a series of email. The typography is fun, the photography lively, and the consistency of the campaign was A+.
Wiggly Confetti
Here is a trend I noticed this month: Wiggly Confetti. I don’t have a better way to describe this but I am noticing it everywhere. It is like a party in your email box. All of the celebration and none of the cleanup.

The Callback
This is different from a full email campaign because it is just a visual reminder in a later email. The new email may have nothing to do with the other but has a callback to remind the user to go take advantage of the sale still in progress.

So Much Product, So Little Space
Listing every product take up SO MUCH SPACE. Gifs just do it better.
